Over the past several years we have been posting information at least weekly to our Facebook & Instagram pages. On matters concerning mapping news, map updates but also much info on aspects relating to local placenames and heritage. In the past three years, these have been posted as Blog entries on our website www.eastwestmapping.ie By request, we have now implemented an easier way to search these posts.

First find and click on Blog. You’ll find this top right on the desktop version. On the mobile phone version, scroll to bottom, click Blog and then scroll down again to bottom. You’ll then find you can either search by Category or By Tags.

For example if you just wish to view Map Updates, then click on this Category to display all posts relating to Map Updates.

Likewise you can click on any of the listed Tags to display all posts associated with that Tag. For example click on the tag Connemara Mountains to list all posts associated with this map: map updates and placename posts etc.

It’s not a perfect solution but it does make this useful material a lot easier to navigate. There are currently c250 posts in the Blog but we have about another 150 older posts that could usefully be added and which I will go through slowly. So if you don’t see much detail on a particular map at present, check again in time and they may well be added. There is some lovely material in here – for example on our Dublin Mountains or Wicklow West maps you’ll find Burke’s Cave
