Three New 1:25,000 scale detailed maps are now available for the Dublin Mountains, Wicklow West and Wicklow East. It may have taken five years with lots of hiccups and hard work but we’re sure happy to complete this 25Series mapping project for the Dublin & Wicklow Mountains. These maps have a 5 metre contour interval for fine navigation, dense topographic detail and a root & branch overhaul of minor placenames. It will we hope serve the region for a few years to come.
The map sheets are available singly in either standard paper or encapsulated (laminated) weatherproof versions. If you would like to purchase these three maps in flat, unfolded form for wall mounting etc., we have nine sets available – one of each sheet. These were printed for pre orders and orders for these customers will be filled first. Orders for remaining sets will be filled on a first come, first served basis. There will be a seamless digital map version called North Wicklow for our phone app EastWest Maps in due course. This has greater coverage and some additional work is needed to complete this. I will advise when this is done and as previously arranged this will be a free update for anyone who has already made an in app purchase of this digital North Wicklow map.
