A very pleasant short loop walk has been created in recent months at Ballard Wood just outside Laragh, Co.Wicklow. This talks a meandering path through the woods and along the banks of the Avonmore to view Jacksons Falls. Returns via an old track locally known as Kevin’s Road which was used in the past as a mass/ school path to Laragh. Best to park in the large ‘Covid’ car park constructed last year just south of Laragh. Take care crossing and following the roads to the wood entrance.
