Connemara Mountains Map Update

Thanks to Patsy Cahalan and Proinsias de Paor for supplying details of two notable cairns that lie between Cruach Láir and Tonald Hill on our Connemara Mountains 1:25,000 scale map.

Apparently these were built several decades ago by local hill farmers to help them keep their bearings if the fog came down. If you’ve ever navigated across the Maumtrasna Plateau area in the mist, you’ll appreciate their prescience.
