Bog Drainage

There’s been a lot of talk recently regarding the re wetting of lands, for various reasons including the absorbing of winter rains and to assist wildlife habitats etc.

This image is of the opposite though, it concerns bog drainage. Taken in recent years and given the costs of such works, more than likely subsidised by EU/ State grant aid of the day. One policy replaces another and so on!
