Achill Notes

We enjoyed a few pleasant days last week on Achill: sea swimming, hill climbing and coastal exploring. Thanks to Aoife & Paul McNamara for their hospitality. Happy also to finally meet Marty Lavelle,  John Twin McNamara and Briain & Catherine MacNamara who have given me guidance regarding tightening up of the placename record of the western parts of the island.

Here’s a few photos of various spots I visited to confirm the names of, adjust locations etc. It’s always satisfying to see the features on the ground and get positive identifications for them.
