VAT Letter

It’s a month since I wrote & posted this letter to our Minister for Finance. Not looking for any special treatment – just seeking basic equity with other types of publishing in Ireland. I always thought that our tax system was supposed to be progressive and based on some sense of equity. I always considered that one of the advantages of our relatively small state is that an ordinary citizen can address our government directly. I’m still in hope of a reply…

If you note a sense of frustration in this letter, it’s because I’ve been raising this issue for many years now. Sympathy is all very well but action is needed.
